The information super highway is taking the over the world economy. More and more companies are turning to influential bloggers to help them connect with their audience. If you have ever considered a momblog, dadblog, or anythingblog, now is a great time to enter this business.

Even companies like Coach, Nike, Ping (golf equipment), and IBM have learned the importance of influential bloggers. By this I mean they are paying bloggers to advertise on their webpage, wear their products and post pictures, write reviews, and visit places. We’re not talking “Google Ads”, this is much more than that. Like Coach paying a Kardashian to carry their purse and post pics on instagram.

Here’s an excellent (quick and easy to read) article from Hubspot to understand what is happening in the world today. It is really amazing, and there is no better time than right now to start a business from the comfort of your own home. Leave behind the 8-6 (formerly 9-5), the commuting, and work whenever, from wherever you want!

This is something I personally recommend, and anyone can do it. If you would like to learn more about the community I started with, you can either read my post here or visit the website here. Or just ask me about it in the comment section below. The community is free and you get help all along the way.

  1. These all seem easy and almost effortless enough, even for me! Seriously, I so want to work from home but due to terrible internet service in my area and a new computer that I found out does not meet the standards for most customer service jobs, I have been feeling like it may never happen. But your Top 10 list gives me hope. Thank you!

    1. Hey Carla, nice to meet you! Sorry to hear about that. If your computer doesn’t meet the standard perhaps there are programs you can install – maybe even free ones via the CNET website. Another alternative, depending on the age of the computer, would be to bring it back and buy one that meets the required standards. This is an open forum, so please let me know what requirements you are missing and maybe we can find you some alternatives. As far as the internet goes… you may need to purchase a hotspot. Both of these items (computer and internet fees) would be tax write-off for you if you were to move forward. In any event, if you come up with a solution, please feel free to share. I appreciate your comment! My Best to you!

  3. I thoroughly enjoyed this article. I have been researching doing my own blog. What confuses me, is that they say $2.95 per month and then when I get ready to jump in there are other fees. I would like to try it out as cheaply as possible to see if I like doing the blogging thing, but not to invest a lot of money up front. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Some excellent suggestions. I am going to give them a try. I particularly appreciate the fact that you provide lists of genuine hiring sites! There are so many skams out there that are a waste of time (and sometimes money).
This article is a valuable resource for those of us seeking work from home. Thank you.

    1. Hi Marilyn, great to meet you! Thanks for your comment and I appreciate the notion because I have read all about the sites you mentioned. You should check out the 33 companies that want to pay you for freelance writing skills. The great thing about them is you can choose topics you love to write about. Everyone knows something, whether it be parenting, marriage, or just life as a woman/man. You don’t need to be an experienced writer either, so no pressure there. I am so excited about this list. Check it out here! -Anthony

  6. A most interesting article! I’ve read a few similar but this has been the best and has the best information. I have scattered abilities in graphic, data, photography, art and several other fields that makes this an interesting way to work from home. If you’re 77 years young and have multiple health problems AND wheelchair bound, and either need or just want to work as is my situation these possibilities fit perfectly. Thanks for sharing information that is fantastically helpful ..especially for an aging communPatity.

    1. Hi Pat! Nice to meet you and thank so much for your wonderful reply! I am so happy to hear this, I looked around and tried several of these opportunities before writing down the list. Although I share other less interesting ways to make extra spending cash, I am most proud of these sites that pay well and allow you to work on your own time schedule. There is a freelance writing post as well, that I believe is a fantastic fit for people that are 77 years young looking for extra money here and there. Even if you were looking to travel… you could certainly do these things abroad! All the best to you, and thank you again for visiting and leaving such a lovely comment! Cheers – Anthony

  7. This is a good read! I would love to work from home, are there any start up costs? Or required quiet background? I’m a mommy with a household far from quiet.

    1. Hi Sade, nice to meet you and thanks for your comment! It depends on the company you choose. I can identify with a “not so quiet” home lol. For the most part, these companies will allow for some noise and NO there are no start up costs. I say this with this caveat, unless you don’t already have an internet connection, a computer, and the system requirements (which are basic and likely already on your computer), then you may have some start up costs. But, if you are like the average person in the world, you probably have everything you need in house to get you going! Don’t be afraid to reach out to these companies for more information. It’s a great way to find out more and to build a relationship! Best of luck! – Anthony

  8. Thank you for compiling this wealth of information. I’m anxious to get started on free lance writing. Thanks so much.

    1. Thanks YOU for visiting! This is a great opportunity. Do NOT worry about the writing. You have great information to share and you are going to do awesome! Good LUCK! – Anthony

  9. Thanks for your ideas! Would all of these be non taxed income that we have to keep track of ourselves to report in April?

    1. That’s correct. Whenever you freelance, it’s like you’re the boss! Depending on your income you’ll have to make sure you keep some to pay taxes. Speak with a CPA to see if you’ll have enough deductions at the end of the year to counter balance the taxes As the boss, you’ll have your own expenses to write off… like work space at the house, laptop, phone, internet, desk, chair, etc… Hope this helps!

  10. Thanks for the information. In my industry summer is typically slow so I am always looking for ways to supplement! I also appreciate your clean, straight to the point layout!

    1. Hi Dee nice to meet you! I am glad you were able to find something for the slow time of the year. The great thing about these jobs… is you can work from anywhere. So use the summer spend an extra week on vacation and make a little money in between dips by the pool and dinner to cover it! I enjoy a straight to the point article as well, but I’ve had some feedback that my posts end of lacking a little personality. I don’t disagree with that, so I try to keep it to a minimum if I can 😉 Enjoy the week Dee!

    1. Hi Roz, nice to meet you! Thanks for your comment! Ok the first thing to do is to go to this website https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/createaccount?a_aid=d6fa3171 , start a free website, and go through all the tutorials you can to get started! It’s very overwhelming at first, but don’t let that stop you. No one gets this right out of the gate. Write, promote, review, revise old posts, repeat. That is the basic formula. Eventually, you start to gain traction and all pieces begin to fall into place! Best of luck Roz!

  11. Thank you very much for this information! I’m a stay at home mom and our family is in dire financial troubles. This information is wonderful, and was very easy to read. I am definitely interested and going to apply for some of these websites.

    1. Hi Mallory! Nice to meet you! I wish the best for you, I know what it is like to fall on hard times. It can certainly test a family, so I hope y’all don’t take it out on one another. The pendulum always swings back. Actually, NOW is the best time to be looking for a job and I will tell you why. For over a decade the job market has been a large pool of unemployed over qualified individuals looking for almost any position. However… all that has changed. In fact the pool is non existent and companies are dying trying to find qualified candidates. What this means to you is, if you or someone in your family is looking for a job, they have a great opportunity right now. They can find a position they may not be qualified for, companies will TRAIN them, and you should be able to negotiate a higher than advertised salary!! Stay strong and KNOW without a doubt… you are in control. Go for the job YOU want and don’t be afraid to ask for more money… chances are, you’ll get more. (don’t be afraid to ask for more than you think they will agree to). As a side note… 100% of the companies out there still think they are fishing in a huge pool, so if this doesn’t work the first time, just keep swimming, because they will get what you deserve!

  12. Hey Dude great jobs listed! However I was wondering if you could help find logistic jobs, you know sending trucks all over the country. I use to help a friend with her company but business had slowed down and she didn’t go after new customers. I wouldn’t have a clue how to get new customers and most freight brokers won’t hire unless you already have your own customers. Got any ideas?? To old and poor to take some expensive class. Can’t wait to hear from you!!!!!

    1. Hi Gwen and nice to meet you! I am not familiar with this position and unfortunately, I don’t have any leads or contacts for you. I will certainly keep my eyes and ears open for you and your friend! Best, Anthony
